nature journaling with Children (Read the article above)
I am sure you and your child are enjoying the great and inspiring outdoors! So many are playing, biking, and jumping on trampolines. Occasionally, it is fun to help a child recognize their natural scientific curiosity and discovery. The article posted above shows how to keep it simple and fun. It can be simple but astonishingly memorable and rewarding. Feel free to share videos on our closed Facebook site sharing your experiences, or just share the adventure with your child. Nature Journals can have photos or drawings pasted in also. It might help if you do most of the writing, at first. Got a notebook or sketchbook?

gardening with children
Starry Garden Parents, our spring plans were to teach the children how to make a no-dig garden with little cost, few tools and no pesticides. Our writing project was for them to draw and write about nature. We will still film our creation of a garden at school, but we hope you will teach them to follow our videos and make a small, no-dig garden at home. They will be amazed that it is so easy and bountiful. We are also filming our greenhouse gardening and larger garden. Gardening with children is so rewarding! It gets them out in the sun and teaches many things which build good character and life-long skills.
